The Oirase Stream Trail follows a pristine mountain stream for 14 kilometers through a lush beech and cedar forest in Aomori Prefecture, connecting Yakeyama to Lake Towada. The flat, well-maintained path passes numerous waterfalls, cascades, and moss-covered boulders, creating one of Japan's most photographed nature walks. Autumn foliage transforms the corridor into a tunnel of gold, red, and orange.
