Mt. Daisen (1,729m) is the highest peak in the Chugoku region, often called "Hoki Fuji" for its elegant shape when viewed from the west. Located in Tottori Prefecture, this volcanic mountain features a well-maintained trail through one of Japan's largest beech forests, leading to sweeping views of the Sea of Japan coast. The mountain is particularly stunning in autumn foliage and winter snow.
