The Diamond Trail is a 45-kilometer long-distance path traversing the Kongo-Katsuragi mountain range along the border of Osaka and Nara Prefectures. The trail connects Mt. Nijo, Mt. Katsuragi, Mt. Kongo (the highest point in Osaka at 1,125m), and several other peaks via a rolling ridge walk through deciduous and evergreen forests. It is one of the Kansai region's premier hiking routes, offering a multi-day wilderness experience close to urban centers.
