木曽駒ヶ岳は中央アルプス最高峰の標高2,956mの山で、駒ヶ岳ロープウェイで千畳敷カール(2,612m)まで一気に上がれるのが特徴です。氷河が削った千畳敷は夏に高山植物で覆われ、山頂への比較的短い登りでは北アルプスから南アルプスまで一望できる稜線を歩きます。
